I love my life.

Well, it looks like life is so good I haven't even had time to blog about it!! I apologize in advance for the lengthiness of this post.  Soon, I will be returning home and leaving BYU and my life will be drastically more boring. Here are some snapshots of some of my most recent adventures here in beautiful Provo!

Animal Dance! I have the greatest ward, so many people get together and do stuff like this.

I was on an intramural basketball team!! As you may be able to tell from the looks of this picture, it didn't go very well in terms of winning.  In our first tournament game we only had 4 players show up.  I may have gotten a little (a lot) too competitive, but it was way fun.

BEST TIME 80's dancing at Area 51 in Salt Lake.  Seriously, I will probably miss these nights the most.

Just hangin' with Erik Mika, BYU basketball player. Also, I continued my back flip streak going!

Riley, Cady's sister, came into town and we went disco skating!

Destiny and Sara are 2 of my all time favorite people.  They are my counselors in Relief Society and I LOVE THEM TO DEATH!  We were all wearing denim so we had to take a pic (;

Apple Beer is a pretty popular beverage here at BYU and I had my first this past week!

Tay and I had a photo shoot!! It was so much fun and we got so many awesome pictures.  She is so gorgeous, it makes taking pictures easy.

"Rent a Puppy" is a thing here!  You call and order a type of puppy and they deliver it to you and pick it up an hour or two later!

The weather has been AMAZING here the past week.  We spent time outside playing sand volleyball and having picnics (:

Capture the Flag on campus late at night is always a great time.

And last, but definitely not least we went to the Hot Springs!! Down in Spanish Fork canyon, about an hour hike in, there are beautiful water falls and natural hot springs.  We got a bunch of people and had a blast.  I love being in Utah when the weather is nice, there is so much to do!

Basically I'm just having the time of my life here.  I wouldn't change how anything is going except for maybe slow it down a little bit! The thought of leaving here in just 10 days makes me want to cry!

80s dancing is probably my favorite thing to do since coming out to BYU! These are a few pictures we snapped after!

I have the greatest friends

I have the greatest friends in the entire world, hands down.  These past couple weeks I keep telling myself, "I love my life." Literally, out loud, all the time. I am just so happy!  And it's all because of the best friends I have made at BYU.  I feel so incredibly blessed to have gotten to know everyone that I have met this year.  Thinking about leaving in just 6 weeks makes me want to cry, so I'm trying to enjoy every second I have with these amazing people!

Monday night for FHE we went and played broom hockey! It was seriously a blast.  I came out with some pretty bruises, but some great memories with the ward.

Cady and I were with a group of people in the JKB playing games on Friday night.  We were looking just so stinkin hipster we had to take a pic. Then afterwords we went to get crepes at Roll Up at like 2 am. Ohio seriously needs to get one of these before I come home...

Friday afternoon Cady, Joshlin, and I walked to the temple!  It was a beautiful day and such a great way to remind me what's important in the middle of the week!

Saturday night was a Mardi Gras dance!  A big group of us got dressed up and then played games outside in the fields around Helaman.

So, of course the weekend wouldn't be complete without a Midnight Monday Morning In-N-Out run! We went for Harrison's birthday.  Its funny how many Mormons around here go out at midnight on Sunday since it technically isn't the sabbath anymore.  Turns out me and Nate were just ahead of the game (;

I love my ward so much.  This is my college version of a Sunday Family dinner <3

And this last picture is all the girls in my hall/relief society! I. LOVE. THESE. GIRLS. Literally, every single one of them is so amazing.  They are always making me smile and laugh.  I have learned and grown so much from my experiences with them.

I just love my life right now.  Its full of great times with great people.

Moments That Matter Most

This week has been CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY!  Ah, I don't know that I could handle one more thing.  But this week was also awesome!  I had my first skiing class up at Sundance.  It was beautiful and so much fun.  I made new friends in my class, and I picked it up again pretty quickly.  It is just so peaceful to be up in the quiet mountains with all of the beauty surrounding you.  I love it.  Then on Thursday night (after class, skiing, and work!) Cady, Erica, and I went 80s dancing!  Its still my favorite thing in the entire world.  I wish I could have lived back in those days.

So, with everything that I have going on, I woke up this morning kind of having a melt down. It's so hard to keep up with homework, working 15+ hours a week, Relief Society, classes, and a decent social life. I was just kind of feeling like I'm doing an okay job at everything, rather than being able to focus in and spend the time I need to and do a great job at them.  It can be so easy to look at everything that's on my to-do list and feel so overwhelmed.  But, my Mom reminded me on the phone this morning to just take it one day at a time.  I was reminded that I need to focus on what's important, and not worry so much about all that there is to be done. So here is one of my favorite Mormon Messages that help me remember to slow down and just be happy! I live in a beautiful place with such amazing friends.  Even though I can get pretty stressed and feel inadequate, I love my life here! I am so thankful and am choosing to focus on what matters most and be happy. (:

Dance Aerobics!

This semester Me Cady Sara and Destiny all took a dance aerobics class at BYU!  Paula was such a fun teacher-she made this week Christmas sock week so we all wore our Christmas socks to class! Even though 8 am was definitely a struggle, it was seriously a blast.  Me and Cady made up our own dance to Let's Get Loud by J-Lo.  Luckily I have these girls to get me to get off my butt and workout around here because heaven knows we need it!

Life is good when you're dancin!

I'm 19!

Wow, happy birthday to me! I seriously have the great friends and especially best friend in the whole world.  It was seriously a total party for 2 days straight in honor of my 19th birthday! On my birthday, I came back from dance aerobics to decorations that my mom had sent Erica in my room!! Then we went to Kneader's for breakfast and had the best french toast ever.  Then when I came back from class Taylore was waiting outside my door with more decorations and presents.. She spoils me WAY too much. Then I opened all like 20 cards from all of my awesome cousins and grandparents and brothers and mom and dad (:  That part was really great.. It made me feel like I wasn't really that far from all my family! Later that night Tay insisted that I go to her intramural volleyball game, and it turns out because she was planning for all of my friends to surprise me when we got back! We walked into the lobby with so many of my friends from my ward and the cutest birthday cake that she had made (: It was seriously the best day.  Then last night we went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner where I got to ride on the saddle for my birthday and then WE WENT TO 80's NIGHT. Jaylee, Libby, Liz and Tay all came. I seriously would go 80s dancing every week if I could.  Its so much fun.  So overall it was an amazing birthday.  I have the best friends out here at BYU, and I'm especially so glad that Taylore is out here with me.  Thanks to everyone I wasn't homesick or anything and had the most amazing couple of days!
19 is kind of a weird age but it'll actually be a pretty big year for me! I'm planning on serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and 19 is that age that girls get to go know! I'll start my papers here pretty soon and in just a couple months I'll know where I'll be going! I'll also finish out my freshman year here at BYU. It's crazy how fast time is flying.

Life is so good on my 19th birthday!
